Piper-Heidsieck is a sparkling champagne house founded by Florence-Louis Heidsieck in 1785 in the Champagne region. In 1800, Florence-Louis was joined by his nephew Christian, and in 1815 by Henri-Guillaume Piper. After the death of the founder in 1828, the company was headed by Christian Heidsieck, and Henri-Guillaume began to travel around the world as a merchant of fine champagne. Thanks to Piper, the Heidsieck House of Champagne has become the official supplier of 14 royal and imperial courts, including those as far away as Siam (present-day Thailand) and China. And since these two names - Piper and Heidsieck - could no longer be separated, a new name arose - Piper-Heidsieck. The Piper-Heidsieck has a very rich history and has always been considered the standard of style and luxury. The company is known for its collaborations with the personal jeweler of the Russian tsar Carl Faberge, and such famous designers as Jean Paul Gaultier and Christian Louboutin. Since 1993 Piper-Heidsieck has been the official supplier of the Cannes Film Festival and is considered an Oscar winner. Piper-Heidsieck was Marilyn Monroe's favorite champagne. Champagne "Piper-Heidsieck" has repeatedly won the well-known world tasting competitions - International Wine & Spirits Challenge, "Mondial de Bruxelles", "Mundus Vini", and others. In the late 1980s, Piper-Heidsieck became a member of the Remy Cointreau wine and beverage group. Today Piper-Heidsieck is owned by the Européenne de Participation Industrielle holding.
