This drink is made from selected grains and berries. The manufacturer is La Martiniquaise (La Martiniquez). It was established in 1934 in France. The founder of the company, Jean-Pierre Cayar, began his career with the import and distribution of rum. In the mid-1950s, he was able to expand his company's range, establishing a number of enterprises for the production of alcoholic beverages. By 2001, La Martiniquaise had become the second largest consumer of French alcoholic beverages. Its annual turnover is estimated at 460 million euros. The company produces about 150 million bottles of alcoholic beverages a year, a quarter of which are exported to about 110 countries.
