Bruichladdich

Bruichladdich was founded in 1881 on Islay. The company has gone through a series of ups and downs over its centuries-old history, but in 2001, when Jim McEwan and several investors bought the company, Bruichladdich regained its former strength. The new owners of Bruichladdich abandoned the use of caramel and cold filtration, chose the optimal 46% strength of the drink in their opinion, and thus created a unique whiskey. They also developed new packaging and label design, which gave the products an even more modern look. Only distillation methods and technical means remained unchanged. From time to time, the barrels of alcohol are taken to the seashore, where, in the process of aging, the whiskey is saturated with sea aromas.
