The history of De Kuyper company began in Rotterdam in 1695, when Petrus De Kuyper married Anna Kuyper. They founded a small family business that created wooden barrels for aging spirits and also exported local beers and gin. In 1729 the De Kuyper family began producing their own gin. In the 20s of the XX century, their range expanded significantly due to the release of liqueurs, which brought the company world fame. In 1995, Queen Beatrix granted the company the right to be called "Royal", after which the company was renamed "De Kuyper Royal Distillers". Liqueur brand "De Kuyper" (more than 70 different products) is sold in 100 countries around the world. De Kuyper has made the category of liqueurs more innovative and modern.
