The history of Cointreau liqueur dates back to 1849 when the brothers Adolf and Edouard-Jean Cuantro founded their own winery. The liqueur was first released in 1875 by the efforts of Edouard-Jean's son. The journey of Edouard Cuantro Jr. to the island of Curacao became a turning point for the company, from where he began to supply selected oranges and use them in making liqueur. Today Cointreau liqueur is at the top of the list of the best beverages, sold in more than 100 countries around the world, and is an excellent ingredient for making the best cocktails.
