Gevorkian Karasi, Red Wine

Wine is dark red with purple hues. The fresh aroma is rich with nuances of ripe berries and wildflowers. The soft velvety taste of the wine is revealed with hints of cherries and red currants, ripe blackberries, raspberries, combined with spicy and floral hints. Blackcurrant, blackberry and cherry are felt in a long pleasant aftertaste.

The wine is perfectly combined with hard cheeses, steaks and exquisite meat dishes. 

The wine is produced following the tradition of Armenian monastery wines (aged in clay karases).

These wines are aged in jars 80-100 years old. The latter were purchased from Oshakan, Voskevaz, Byurakan villages of Aragatsotn, from the villagers' cellars.

The villagers say that since wine is a living body, it feels good in a jar. It is also mentioned that the jar is like a woman's womb. Wine is generalized in this embryonic structure, it is born in its final form.
