Metaxa Honey Shot

The liqueur is light amber with golden shades. The hints of honey, jasmine, apricot and persimmon are felt in the unique and juicy aroma of liqueur. The spirit is fresh, full of white raisins, dried rice, oak and spices. The long lasting  aftertaste involves pleasantly warm notes of smoke and orange peel.

The liqueur is perfectly combined with Greek-style pakhlava or hummus.

It can be enjoyed both: neat and with tonic or used as a cocktail ingredient.

The distillate is obtained from Greek grape varieties, mixed with muscat wine, flower petals and plant extract. After 6 months aging in oak barrels and filtering, the black honey is added to the spirit and  it’s finally bottled.

Aging takes place in oak barrels for 6 months.
