Rum Insolito Wine Cask Matusalem

The harmonious aroma of pink rum is expressed with the shades of raspberry, cherry, red berry, rose petals, walnut and wood. Sweet, soft and balanced on the palate with notes of fruit, orange peel and freshly baked bread, which are replaced by a long-lasting, round aftertaste.

Rum is an excellent digestif, it is recommended to use it neat, with ice or in cocktails.

Matusalem, "Insolito" - a new, unique rum of the company wich attracts with its unusual pink color. In its production, selected rums are used, aged for three years in Tempranillo wine barrels. After that, the rum is mixed with the basis of "Matusalem" Gran Reserva 15, resulting in an original, refined beverage. The back of the bottle shows vines and sugarcane woven together. Each bottle has its own individual number.

The history of Matusalem rum dates back to the 70s of the 19th century, when the brothers Eduardo and Benjamin Kamp sailed from Spain to Cuba, intending to be seriously engaged in the production of rum on the island of Liberty. For the first time rum Matusalem was produced in 1872. It owes its name to the Spanish aphorism: "Esto es mas viejo que Matusalem", which means "Older than Matusalem", which refers to the apostle who lived up to 969 years. At the same time, the symbol of the brand, the soaring swallow, was intended to reflect the freedom-loving spirit of the people of Cuba. Today, Matusalem rum is produced in the Dominican Republic according to the original recipe of 1872, as evidenced by the inscription on the bottle - "Formula Original de Cuba". Read more
