Pierre Frick

The Pierre Frick winery in Pfaffenheim, Alsace, represents twelve generations of family winemaking tradition. Under Jean-Pierre and Chantal Frick's stewardship, this 12-hectare estate embraces biodynamic viticulture across diverse limestone-rich terroirs, including prestigious Grand Cru sites Steinert, Vorbourg, and Eichberg.

Pioneering sustainable practices since 1970 when Pierre and Annette Frick converted to organic farming, the estate achieved Demeter biodynamic certification under Jean-Pierre's guidance in 1981. Their natural winemaking philosophy produces authentic expressions of Alsatian varieties like Riesling, Pinot Gris, and Gewurztraminer.

What distinguishes Pierre Frick is their commitment to minimal intervention—producing wines without added sulfites, using only indigenous yeasts, minimal filtration, and often crown caps instead of corks. This dedication to ecological harmony and terroir expression has established them as influential leaders in the global natural wine movement.
