The Tomatin distillery was built in 1897 in the Monadliat Mountains (Scotland). It is considered to be the highest distillery in Scotland. The clear water of the Alt-na-Frith River, which flows through the Monadliat Mountains, helps to produce delicate whisky. Tomatin is one of the top ten whisky companies in Scotland. Today the factory produces 2 million liters of alcohol a year, but the production capacity allows to produce 12 million liters. Tomatin has historically supplied malt to whisky companies but now focuses on making high-quality whisky. The product range consists of 12, 18, 25, 30, and 40 whiskies. Tomatin is one of the few companies in Scotland that has maintained its own barrel production.
