Whiskey is used as a digestive, with a cigar.
Whiskey is a blend, 40% of which is single malt whiskey, and 60% is pure pot still. The drink was triple distilled and aged in oak barrels from bourbon for 6-9 years. The blend of whiskey includes alcohols from salted and not malted barley. "Writers Tears" is produced by family technology and is a rare product. The manufacturer initially decided to limit the number and regions of distribution of whiskey. Today, this drink can be found in Russia, the US and some European countries.
The name of whiskey translates as "Writer's Tears" - a poetic and meaningful name, not devoid of humor. Everyone who is fond of writing knows how hard, sometimes, the lines are given. The manufacturer even listed "donors of tears" - the pearl of Irish literature, one of the oldest in the world. So, the magnificent whiskey "Writers Tears" is composed of the tears of the following geniuses of the word - Bien Brendan, John O'Brien, George Bernard Shaw, James Joyce, John Millington Singh, Jonathan Swift, Oscar Wilde, Patrick Kavana, Samuel Beckett, Heaney Shaymas, Sean O`Keysi and Uilyam Butler Yates. Great names. People with a difficult fate and recognized talent. How to resist and not try such a unique whiskey?
Having established Walsh Whiskey in 1999, Bernard and Rosemary Walsh are on a life-journey of exploration to create the perfect drop of whiskey imaginable. As their journey and creations evolve, Bernard and Rosemary have built an international following for their portfolio of super-premium, award-winning whiskeys: The Irishman and Writers’ Tears.
Both brands offer taste profiles that are unique, through the recreation of traditional Irish whiskey recipes from the 19th Century – Ireland’s golden era of whiskey distilling. While honouring the past, Bernard and Rosemary also introduce truly innovative new expressions for contemporary palates in a modern era. Read more
