Don Fulano is the legacy of five generations of the Fonseca family, who now craft their 100% estate grown agave tequila at the renowned La Tequilena distillery in the town of Tequila, a distillery with over a hundred years and a beautiful history of its own. Don Fulano was created in 2000 by master distiller/blender Enrique Fonseca and Sergio Mendoza. It is made exclusively with three ingredients: estate-grown, hand selected Maduro and Pinto agave, yeast, and natural water: unfiltered, untouched, and free of additives. Don Fulano is a playful, even contradictory name. DON means respectful, wise. In the past, tequilas bore the name of a manufacturer who was usually a respected individual, extremely proud of his product and name.
