Lanson

Maison Lanson is one of the oldest champagne houses in France. It was founded in 1760 by Jean-Baptiste Lanson, one of the Knights of the Order of Malta. Lanson's champagnes have received international recognition for their excellent quality and unusually fresh taste. Lanson has strong roots in France, and today the company's products are enjoyed in more than 80 countries. Since 1970 Maison Lanson has been the official supplier of the Royal Family of England. The idea for the Lanson Cross originated in 1798 when the founder's son, being a member of the Hospitaller's Order of Malta (the oldest charity in the world, founded in 1048), decided to use the Maltese Cross to create Maison Lanson’s logo. Today, the Lanson Cross engraved on each redesigned and recycled bottle is a symbol of sincerity, kindness and hospitality. For more than 260 years Maison Lanson has remained faithful to the traditions and values of its house by creating internationally recognized, excellent products.
