Red wine with purple sheen. Intense, persistent aroma with fruity notes and delicate hints of spices. The taste is pleasant, harmonious, balanced with a velvety texture, soft tannins and pronounced almond notes.

The wine goes well with hot appetizers, pasta, vegetables and light meat dishes.

After the harvest in mid-September, the grapes are fermented in stainless steel vats at a temperature of 24-25°C․

The vineyards are located 240-500 m above sea level on calcareous marls, rich in sand․

The brand with its beautiful name Fontanafredda, which means "Cold Spring", has an unusual romantic origin history. This is a love story between Duchess of Italy Rosa Mirafiori and the king Vittorio Emanuele II. Today, the company produces a wide range of the best Piedmont wines, which are included in the wine lists of the best restaurants and regularly receive high reviews from wine critics.
