Luce Della Vite, Lucente 2018

Intense purple-red colour. The bouquet is very rich, with scents of ripe fruit among which are cherry, raspberry and currant. Pleasantly fresh notes of eucalyptus and mint are accompanied by aromas of rosemary and sage. Sweet notes of coffee and toasted hazelnut accentuate the complexity of the wine. The palate is well rounded and velvety with a very fine and silky tannin texture.

The wine goes well with red meat dishes such as grilled meats, roast lamb or beef, poultry, fried game and cheese.

Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature at 28°C.

The wine is aged for 12 months in new and used oak barrels.

In 1995, two wine families - the famous Frescobaldi from Tuscany and Mondavi from America - decided to join forces and create a joint venture Luce Della Vite in the Montalcino area. The innovative approach and modern technologies of one of the leaders of the Californian wine market - the Mondavi family - combined with centuries of winemaking experience and the traditional vision of the winemaking process of the Frescobaldi family. Both families have set themselves the task of creating one of Italy's greatest wines.
