Wine is ruby in color with purple accents. The multi-layered aroma is expressed with notes of blackberry, cherry, flowers, graphite and minerals. Full-bodied, round on the palate, with a rich texture, fruity tones, silky tannins and a long aftertaste.
Wine perfectly pairs with grilled meat, game, pasta and mature cheese.
Malbec grape variety used for wine production is grown in the vineyards of ''La Consulta'', ''Vista Flores'' and ''Agrelo''. Harvesting is done by hand in small plastic boxes. Maceration takes place on the skins for 20 days, followed by malolactic fermentation.
Aging takes place in French oak barrels for 12 months. And before going on sale, the wine is aged in bottles for another 6 months.
Zuccardi ''Q'' was a special project for the company, started in 1999. The simple letter ''Q'' shows vineyards and plots that have been chosen: the best plots of each vineyards were marked with a ''Q'' (for Quality in English). All the employees who had high skills and were involved in the project insisted that this series of wines requires special attention to obtain grapes of exceptional quality.
Vineyards of Zuccardi Q series are located in the regions of Mendoza, which are located at an altitude of 900-1100 meters above sea level and have the best climatic conditions.
Living in Argentina since 1800, Zucardi family has always been actively involved in soil improvement. So, Don Alberto Zuccardi bought the land in 1963 to start his own wine production and show everyone that Argentina's dry soils can become surprisingly soft to produce aromatic wines. Currently, Zuccardi family owns 170 hectares of vineyards. The head of the company: José Alberto Zuccardi, continues his father's work with great responsibility, experimenting with many varieties of grapes, including unusual and rare ones. According to José Alberto, a good vineyard is the key to the wine's future success.
