Golden-straw color wine with slight green tints. In a fresh, elegant aroma the notes of lemon, peach, pear and herbs are Rich taste reveals the hints of citrus, minerals and vanilla. The wine is full-bodied, round on the palate with a pleasant, invigorating acidity and a long finish.
This full-bodied wine is perfect on its own, but an incredible complement to rich fisհ dishes, Cicatelli pasta with fresh crab, chicken and veal.
Grapes are pressed without being destemmed, fermentation takes place in a combination of new and used oak barriques, where partially malolactic fermentation also takes place.
Aging on the lees for 10 months in stainless steel tanks and oak barrels.
Lafoa is the name of a separate vineyard lying on a hill between the villages of Colterenzio and Cornayano at an altitude of 400-450 m above sea level.
Colterenzio is the flagship of the South Tyrol winery, founded in 1960 and today has 290 members․ In the 1980s the director Luis Reifer brought new ideas to Italian wine revolution. He began trying barrique fermentation for whites and aging for reds. Few in Italy can match the combination of style and variety of wines that are of such a high standard.
