Maison Louis Jadot winery was founded in 1859, but the foundation stone of the house was laid back in 1826 when the Jadot family acquired Clos de Ursul Bon Premier Cru vineyards. Over the years, Louis Jadot managed to expand the company's production volume and take a leading position in the European market. The management of the company was passed from generation to generation until 1985, when the Jadot family sold it to their longtime partner: the American company Kobrand Corporation, to ensure the future of the company. Today Maison Louis Jadot owns over 154 hectares of Burgundy vineyards. Due to the highest quality wines, Louis Jadot has an excellent reputation both in France and around the world. The terroir of Burgundy is diverse: it is a mosaic of sites, each of which has its own individual character that deserves respect. So, the mission of the Maison Louis Jadot is to express these subtle differences and convey the true spirit of Burgundy, because this great terroir has something to be proud of in the past and will definitely have something to be proud of in the future. It is noteworthy that the head of the mythological god of wine Bacchus adorns the label of all wine bottles of the winery. This design is a sign of a commitment to quality, whether it be a simple Burgundy wine or a premium Grand Cru.
