In the multi-layered aroma of intense ruby wine the floral tones are combined with notes of berries, raspberries and ripe cherries. Balanced on the palate, with velvety tannins and a long, berry aftertaste.
Wine pairs well with meat dishes, game, pasta and soft cheese.
Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature followed by aging in oak barrels. Harvesting takes place by hand.
9 months aging in new (100%) French Oak Barrels.
Achaval and Ferrer are the names of two of five founders of the winery. (Santiago Achaval and Manuel Ferrer). Three natives of Argentina and two Italians combined their modest capitals to create the best company of Mendoza.
The wine is created from the vineyards of the wine region of Cuyana province. They are located at an altitude of 700-1000 meters above sea level, including the highest zones of Pedriel, Medrano and Uco Valley. Harvesting takes place by hand.
Young wine company Achaval Ferrer was founded in 1998 by a group of Italian and Argentine associates who passionately love their land and their business. The main goal of the company is to create high-quality, complex and deep wines that reflect the best properties of the local terroir as much as possible.
