Wine is dark red with purple tints. The bright, rich aroma is expressed with notes of mulberry syrup, currant, vanilla, cinnamon, coffee and ripe cherries. Balanced and harmonious on the palate with velvety tannins, long-lasting, pleasant aftertaste.
The wine pairs well with grilled meat, duck, aged and blue cheese.
This wine is made according to traditional methods, with spontaneous fermentation, meaning that no commercial yeasts are added.
Aged for 12 months in oak barrels of Artsakh.
The vineyards are located in the Armavir region, where sandy-clay soils predominate.
The annual tradition of making wine from Machanyan family originated in the village of Alur, Van region. The head of the company is Samvel Machanyan, a financier by education, a lover of the ideas of organic winemaking. The company owns 5 hectares of land, which is located at an altitude of 900 meters above sea level.
