Rum brilliant amber color with a hint of ocher. The rich, complex aroma of the bevarage reveals notes of molasses, vanilla, peach, cocoa, caramel, walnuts and almonds, anise, cinnamon, wood, coffee, smoke and tobacco. The taste of is soft, rich, silky, in tune with the aroma, with notes of sweet candied fruit. The long aftertaste is dominated by tones of vanilla chocolate, wood and coffee.

Rum is recommended to be served neat or with the addition of ice.

El Ron Prohibido, Reserva 22 is an exceptional Mexican ultra-premium rum, which is made from "guarapo" - the juice of sugar cane grown in the state of Veracruz, extracted immediately after harvest during the grinding process. The rum is aged according to the Solera method. To do this, 22 of the best American oak barrels are selected. The first 4 barrels are filled with macerated walnut kernels, almonds, pecans and peaches from the Mexican state of Zacatecas; the rest of the barrels are filled with guarapos. The drink spends at least 18 years in barrels. The result is a golden amber rum with a brilliant ocher hue and an incredibly silky taste.

The company El Ron Prohibido was founded a few years ago to restore the production of the legendary Habanero rum, which name is translated as "forbidden rum". According to historical data, in the 18th century, a large number of Spanish ships arrived "New Spain" (the old name for Mexico). The sailors did not return home empty-handed, they loaded the ships with Chinguirito rum. During the return trip to Europe, the drink acquired delicate woody tones, which made it very popular in Spain. Soon, King Philip V of Bourbon of Spain considered the distribution of the drink a national threat and imposed a ban on Chinguirito, which was restored only 100 years later. El Ron Prohibido has succeeded in restoring the traditional methods of producing "forbidden rum", which is made from high-quality cane alcohol in Spanish sherry casks.
