The history of Amrut Distilleries is very old. The company has been a leader in the production of whiskey in its country for a long time, and in 1948 Amrut's products entered the world market. According to Indian mythology, when the gods and demons stirred the ocean with Mount Meru, a golden vessel appeared from the depths containing the elixir of life. This magic liquid was called "Amrut". The founder of the company was Sri Radhakrishna, under whose leadership the company quickly became an important producer of Indian liquor. In 1976, after his death, the reins of power passed to his son: Neelakanta Rao Jagdale, the current chairman and managing director of the company. Based on the clear standards laid down by his father, he made the company more respected, and the quality of products has become even higher. By keeping long-standing traditions and accepting technological innovations, Amrut Distillery has become an international player.
