Whiskey has deep golden color. The fruity bouquet is reveals, peach and melon, as well as hints of caramel. The taste is full and balanced, with notes of honey, peach, citrus fruits and black pepper, with a slightly oily texture. The finish is long, soft and sweet.

Selected barley grown in the state of Punjab are used for production of this whiskey. After distillation, Amrut Raj Yigala was aged in oak bourbon barrels, which gave a slight sweetness. Whiskey is bottled without cold filtration and colouring.

The name of the Amrut Raj Igala - translates as "King of Eagles".

In 2010, the famous Jim Murray rated Amrut Fusion whiskey at 97/100 points and put it in third place among the best whiskeys in the world, and in 2011 the company was named "Distiller of the Year" by Icons of Whiskey.
