The company Pastificio Rey has a centuries-old history. It was founded in the small town of San Damiano d'Asti in 1851 as a pasta shop. Over time, the company's production expanded. Currently, the area where the company is located is included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It is a region of wine-producing hills: Langhe-Roero, Monferrato. Pastificio Rey occupies 20,000 square meters area. Specially selected durum wheat flour and unique processing techniques make this pasta one of the best, giving it a light yellow color and delicate taste. It is produced using the "bronze die" method ("bronze pressing method"): bronze equipment is used to shape and cut the pasta. The result is a hard-surfaced pasta that absorbs and retains sauces.
