Dark ruby wine with purple hues. Intense, deep, multifaceted aroma of wine reveals semitones of ripe fruit, notes of blackberries and currants framed by nuances of pepper and cinnamon, touches of oak and light floral accents. The wine has a generous, full-bodied taste with a silky texture and an excellent balance of tannins and fruitiness. A well-concentrated, seductive and complex accord abounds with ripe cherry tones and berry nuances. Long, refined aftertaste with hints of spices.
The wine pairs well with sausages, red meat and game dishes, steak, cheeses.
Fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
The wine is aged for 11 months in steel tanks (30%) and in French oak barrels (70%), third of which were new.
850 hectares of vineyards are located at the foot of the Andes Mountains, in the Uco Valley near Mendoza.
The history of wine began when Michel Roland first visited Argentina in 1988. He immediately felt in love with the country, the people, the beautiful landscapes, the culture, as well as the fantastic winegrowing potentia of the region. After a long search, he and Jean Michel Arcaute, a winegrower from Bordeaux area, found an ideal plot of land about 100 km south of Mendoza. This was the biginning of the production of Clos de los Siete wine under the supervision of Michel Roland.
