Fontanafredda, Gavi del Comune di Gavi 2021

Straw yellow wine with a greenish tint. The bouquet is full of chamomile flowers, lily of the valley, vanilla, lemon and green apple notes. The wine is perfectly balanced. Elegant taste reveals hints of peach and almond, and fresh acidity makes the wine even more attractive.

The wine is very gastronomic: excellent as an aperitif, it also pairs well with light dishes, grilled white meat, fish and shellfish, risotto and pasta.

The grapes are soft pressed and then fermented in stainless steel vats at a temperature of 18°C. 15% of the wort is fermented in oak barrels.

The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks for 2-3 months.

This is a love story between Duchess of Italy Rosa Mirafiori and the king Vittorio Emanuele II. Today, the company produces a wide range of the best Piedmont wines, which are included in the wine lists of the best restaurants and regularly receive high reviews from wine critics. Internationally recognized Robert Parker calls Fontanafreda "one of the greatest names of Piedmont winemaking."
