Ruby red in colour, on the nose the wine soon reveals its elegance and complexity with aromas of cherry liqueur, violet and tertiary notes of tobacco, black olives and undergrowth. On the palate, the wine is compact and creamy, supported by bright acidity with well-defined and rounded tannins that give the wine a persistent finish.

The wine goes well with grilled meats, lamb, game and mature cheeses.

For 24 months in Slavonian oak barrels.

In 1995, two wine families - the famous Frescobaldi from Tuscany and Mondavi from America - decided to join forces and create a joint venture Luce Della Vite in the Montalcino area. Both families have set themselves the task of creating one of Italy's greatest wines. It all started with the compilation of blends from the wine materials of the Frescobaldi estate in 1993 and 1994.
