Nik Weis Schiefer Riesling 2016

The wine is golden brown. The nose is full of fresh apple, apricot and white flower notes. Impressive on the palate, with juicy fruity notes and excellent balance of freshness and acidity. The finish is long-lasting and interesting.

Ideally paired with salads, fried meat and pasta.

Hand-harvested grapes are carefully sorted and gently pressed. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts.

The age of the vines ranges from 40 to 60 years.

The Weis’s family has been one of the most famoust winemaking families in Moselle. Winery St. Urbans Hof, built in 1947, is named after the patron saint of winemaking - St. Urban. The estate is known for an outstanding collection of vineyards, among them the pearls of the Moselle: Saarfeilser and Okfener Bockstein. Thanks to old vines and the use of new technologies, Nik Weis Rieslings receive the highest marks from critics - for both basic Riesling and Grand Cru (GG) wines.
