The wine is orange with a dark straw color. The aroma is marked by notes of orange, yellow fruit and freshly baked bread. There are noticeable shades of yellow fruit on the palate with a mineral hint.
Pairs well with fried fish, pastas in creamy sauce and hard cheeses.
If white wine is fermented, it is aged without the skin and seeds, that is, only the must is released to obtain sweet, delicate wines, then red wine, on the contrary, is fermented with seeds and skin, the longer it is aged, the more bodily the wine will be. Orange has combined these two technologies.
"Noravank", Maran Winery’s firstborn line, is named after a 13th-century monastery next to our vineyards in Vayots Dzor region. The first vintage was released in a newly independent Armenia in 1991. These wines are generally more easily drinkable and have no oak ageing.

The origins of Maran dates back to 1829–1830, when Grandma Maran immigrated with her family from Persia to Armenia's Vayots Dzor Province. In 1860, Maran's son Harutyun planted a vineyard in the village of Artabuynk, calling it Maran's Vineyard after his mother. Three years later, a semi-production winery was founded.
